Paint inside hoses to eliminate smell?

I'm using a Jabsco electric head conversion kit and have the horrible rotten egg smell coming from my water intake hoses. The customer service rep from Jabsco suggested that I paint the inside of the hoses with anti-foul paint to keep the smelly bugs away. Has anyone has tried this approach yet?

Every time I think I've I heard it all...

He HAD to have made that one up on the spot! It won't work. Anti-fouling paint does not repel all manner of animal and vegetable sea life...if it did, your bottom would never get slimy. Besides, I doubt if bottom paint would do the seals and gaskets in your toilet ANY good at all.You'll find a much sounder solution to intake water odor in an article called Intake Odor (or something like that) in the Head Mistress forum Reference Library.
