paddle wheel speed sensor

The paddle wheel speed sensor leaks if not tightened or the paddle wheel doesn't turn freely if over tightened, sooo, I thought I would try a replacement. Where can I buy a new paddle wheel and can I splice the old cable into the new one. thanks, jack

There should be a large "O" ring, and a

little silicon grease help to make a seal. If the "O" ring is missing it could be the problem.

I don't know the paddlewheel brand but the gauge in the cockpit reads, "SR Mariner" or something close to that. It does have the o-ring but I haven't tried grease yet. thanks for the help, jack
