If someone knows off the top of their head I'd sure appreciate the help.

It's a 2gm20f in a 78 H30. What's the size of the packing for the gland on the prop shaft.

Thank you.

Rich.

The official answer is 1/4"( http://forums.hunter.sailboatowners.com/showthread.php?p=16524&highlight=stuffing ). You could call Hunter Marine to increase your comfort level I suppose. Or you could measure. You know your shaft is one inch. With inside calipers you could get the I.D. of the box. I use 1/4" GFO packing for no drip. I also know guys who use 3/16" because it is much easier to get it in the box. And they can get an extra ring in there. When it is compressed it works as well I guess.
