Packing size for C36?

Sorry for the quick question - can someone tell me the correct stuffing box packing size for a Mk. I C36 (1984)?

3/16 usually

later boats have reported some are 1/4, but buy both and return what doesn't work. Ours is 3/16 (per the last post, same engine)

From 2002 on,

the manual calls for 1/4" (2 rings).
