Packing gland size (1969 ericson 30)

Can anyone give information on the size of the packing I will need to re-do my 1969 E 30's gland? Its leaking like a siv and I'm going to attempt to change it in the water (yes I have a snorkle) ha ha Daniel Blake Rum Runner Richmond, CA

3/4" shaft uses 1/8" packing 1" shaft uses 3/16" packing How to document? Check out the website.
