We have a 1997 P42 and have the round speaker control knobs in each cabin and the cockpit. One has failed. Anyone know where to get a replacement?

It is said, in a 2001 post, to be a Model SLP10 Stereo 'L' Pad - 100 watts RMS 8 ohms by Philmore of Rockford, IL.

I have searched the Internet and have come up empty.

Many thanks.

Have you checked the connections on the back of the unit. These are just variable resistance devices so if there is a high resistance (read corrosion) on the connector it will act like the "volume" is turned all the way down. A pretty easy fix you should check out first IMHO.

99.44% of all boat electrical problems are corroded connectors.

Yup, that's it. Many thanks.

I have not checked to connections on the back. The unit is sort of frozen up, meaning the knob doesn't turn easily. Plus it causes a big buzz through the other speakers. I found a sweet spot where there is no buzz but also no sound in the main cabin. So it needs to be replaced, I think.
