p34-2 cored/noncored? hull

I own a 1990 Pearson 34-2. I hve been told by a surveyor the hull is solid fiberglass from the bootstripe down. The original brochure states it is cored from the bootstripe down. Who's right? I heard Pearson made both. My hull number is 33.

You should be able to see

the end grain of the balsa through the inner laminates. You can on my 85 P-34 which is cored below the water line (and, so far, knock on balsa wood, in fine shape).
