P30 Handrail replacement

Ok, I have a dilemma. I just took the handrails off of my 1972 Pearson 30, Hull #189. They did not come off in one piece. I see that DR Marine has them in stock. Here is the problem. It looks like there is a nut and a #8 bolt that goes through from the bottom handrails in the cabin to the cabin top mounted rails. The top has a nut inside of the handrail. How can I re-attaché all of this? Any one have any experience with this? PLEASE Help me out.
