Oxy-clean on deck?

I just checked with the boss; she says OxyClean works great on organic stains like red wine, food stains, and sometimes on bird poop. She also recommends a bubbling bathroom cleaner for ground in dirt.
As far as I can tell, anything that Oxy-clean will remove quickly will also be removed by sitting a couple of days in the bright sunshine. Red wine spills? We wipe up the liquid, and let it sit. The sun does the rest.
I am sure most will say it's a no-no but I did spot clean the sails that came with my H30. They had some large nasty brown stains that I couldn't get out. I just added oxy-clean in a 5 gallon bucket of water and soaked just the stained area. I then scrubbed with a soft brush and dried in the sun. Did a great job.
