The problem is that O'Day did not make the O'Day 25 in 1985. They may the O'Day 26 in 1985.

Ed K. is right. O'Day didn't build a 25 in 1985. Check the serial number on the outside transom of your boat. The first three letters, XDY stands for O'Day. The next letter should be "G" if it's a 25, "T" if it's a 23, or "M" if it's a 26. The next four numbers are the serial numbers, and after that there might be an "M" and two more numbers which stand for "Model Year. The last two numbers will signify the year. After the year, there will be a letter which stands for the month that the boat was built, January being the letter A. This format is important in being able to get the right owner's manual.

I just bought the boat and the title lists it as an o'day 25. I also note that there is an oday listed on the boat info page..i'll keep researching...
