I am planning to stay a winter over on a Hunter 340. I wonder how the boat will support me. Does anyone have any experiences with this? I know that there is a heater on teh boat, but how does this system perform under winterconditions? Thanks and regards, Peter Blom Netherlands

Biggest problems may be water and waste

In climates where winter is a 3-4 month hard freeze, pumpouts are closed during the winter. And marinas turn off the water to the docks. If the power fails on the dock, heat may be a problem...'cuz any fossil fuel heater that isn't designed for use on a boat and installed properly can kill you. You might want to re-think this...or at least get a lot more information about how to solve the above issues before you commit to it.
