Overhead traveler idea abandoned....thanks

Thanks for the dose of reality guy's, I actually misstated my intent, I wanted the traveler mounted over the hatch not the cockpit. Either way you presented some physic concerns I had not taken into consideration. This thought was born as a result of a race last wekend when gusts reached 30 to 35, I have wheel steering and at times trying to uncleat the mainsheet after you find it hung up in the pedestal, with little or no time to spare can be an adventure. Maybe after more thought I just need to think about getting a Hobie style cleat that can be adjusted to different angle's and an adjustable Harken deck traveler. P.S. I'll spare the race results, but add until we rounded B, behind only one boat, things were great until it spun us around heading into the rest of the fleet...."A Kodak Moment"
