I was recently given a Widgeon to sail for the summer- while on her mooring, the fiberglass housing for the mast gave and the mast fell over-pulling with it the hardware attached to the bottom of the boat and breaking a stay we would like to make repairs to this old beauty- but we have no knowledge of the year of the boat- we'd like to begin by getting a copy of the manual some general descriptives: wooden bench seats open bow(I'm moored near another widgeon with a closed bow compartment, so I know that the style has evolved) does anyone have a way to chase down a Widgeon manual (online download)and a way to identify the year the boat was made? the repairs will then present a different set of inquiries.. I want to include a photo, but will have to get back with that thanks so much
