Where can I find instructions for rigging the outhaul line on my 27' Hunter. Found a single block and fiddle block inside the Kenyon boom with line attached and a cable that attaches to mainsail. Neither block is fixed to anything just floating. Doesn't seem right.

On my 27, the outhaul goes through the boom and exits on the bottom forward portion of the boom. There is a cleat on the boom that lets you make the out fast after trimming

I used to own a 1980 H30 with a Kenyon mast and boom. The outhaul for the main was a cable that attached to a sliding car on the boom. Inside the boom, the cable was attached to a two part floating block system (vang) to increase the mechanical advantage. The internal vang was tensioned through a line at the forward end of the boom. You might want to contact the technical people at Hunter Marine for details. See the Hunter link under Boat Info at the top of this web page.
