Outhaul

Having trouble removing the end caps on the boom to replace the outhaul cable. Has anyone conquered the stubborn end caps? Does it just pry off or do you have to unscrew the bolt at the end? Help!

My 1977 model has the end cap bolted with two bolts on each side. Once those are removed you might need to pry off the cap. Just did that last week. The end bolt only holds up the loop for the topping lift.
