Outhaul H26

Bill............might take a look at Hunter 26 Owner mods on this site, specifically cockpit mods where the owner brought the outhaul through a block at the base of the mast then to a stopper on top of the cabin just ahead of the cockpit. Is your outhaul rigged as shown in the manual excerpt below?
It's terrible isn't it? With that jammer at the gooseneck that never stays in?
I doubled it by adding a pair of blocks top and bottom with a cam cleat at the base. Then doubled again it by looping it thru the tack and tying it to the mast, like a reef line. I run the line to the cockpit and can grab and adjust it fairly easily.
Blue line goes thru the mast. White with blue fleck goes to the cockpit.
