Outhaul bitter end rod

The bitter end of the outhaul is secured by a 4 inch rod 27.5 inchs from the end of the boon. The rod is secured by two snap rings and if one falls off, the rods goes into the inside of the boon. Then you and a friend have to secure the boon, remove the end of the boon, and fish the bitter end out and secure it to the rod or as I did with a stainless bolt and locknut. Or you could pay a rigger $120.00 Bring a flashlight and a wire coat hanger.
