Outboard ?

I just bought a newer outboard for my O240. I picked up a 2003 Nissan 9.9 four stroke. I noticed it doesn't have a built in adapter that would accept a hose for flushing.

I searched the Internet. The Nissan site briefly mentioned an adapter kit. No pictures, price or diagram.

Is anyone familiar with the set up? If so I would love to see a picture.

I have one that came with my boat, for a Nissan 5 hp 4 stroke. It's basically a threaded fitting, then clear vinyl hose to a standard garden hose fitting. While changing my water pump impeller this spring, I think I had located the fitting on the motor, but I forget where it is. Since I'm on fresh water, I never use the flush out, and I dunked the motor in a bucket this spring so that I could verify the impeller replacement was correct (Had to replace it 3 times. 1st time, forgot a part. 2nd time, impeller housing rotated and it didn't pump. 3rd time, I got it right, and motor has been pumping strong all summer.)

I guess I can try to remember to take a pic for you, if I can find that hose thingy in the bottom of the lazarette...

Thanks but don't worry about it. The more I read about it the more I think I will just use earmuffs.
