The outboard motor bracket is bolted into the transom which has metal implanted in the fiberglass. Hunter used 5200 sealant. Sometimes the thread in the bolt holes were stripped out requiring larger bolts or simply securing with longer bolts bolted inside the boat. I would suggest waiting until you are back at the boat to get the bracket.
You may want to purchase from the forum store metal stainless steel straps to extend the motor bracket outwards which will extend the motor outwards. The hanger or outboard motor brackets will fit into the present holes on your boat which are on the 240 and 260.
