Outboard to Battery Connector

Recently purchased a Nissan 9.8, 25" shaft, electric start. Temporarily I placed the battery in the port cockpit locker. I cannot find an acceptable connector to route the engine cables thru the fiberglass to the standard battery location belowships.What have other people done?

Cut small hole

On my H23 there is a small hole cut through the transom 2 or 3 inches below the hull/deck joint. I route the alternator cable through the hole down to the battery. Not sure if the factory put the hole in, or a previous owner - it's sort of a rough cut with no seal of any type, but it works.
