Gummed up
Jviss, I just used the wording gummed up in my post generically, the service manager stated the jets were clogged and the carb was dirty. I don't know if it was previous neglect, or the new fuel, or both, but the engine performance went down quickly after the fuel switch over. I had never run the carb dry before then after use, only at winter lay up. The fuel would sit in the engine (and fuel line) for a week at a time.I'm not sure if the new fuel reacted with prior deposits in the engine's fuel system, or the fuel line. All I can tell you is since running it dry life has been good. The manual states to empty the bowl if not in use for a while, running it dry accomplishes the same thing. The manual also states that fuel will start going bad in 15 days - and this was written before the fuel switch over!Manny
