I don't buy the "bad Gas" excuse!!! I use the gas for my lawnboy 2 cycle( read that as made by the outboard motor people) mower from season to season with no trouble. I clean the air filter once each year and shove it into the shed when I am finished. I can't recall the last time I changed the spark plug. It always starts on the first or second pull and has for 15 years.
Your 'lawn-boy' doesnt have an 'emulsion tube' inside the carburetor. Emulsion tubes are commonly used in many small carburetors to control the air/fuel ratio.
Carburetors without emulsion tubes have difficulty in controlling their fuel/air ratio and usually burn 'very rich' at near WOT.

Totally agree with Ross... I'm tired of the bad gas excuse... it just doesn't make sense... that the motor will start .... then stop because of bad gas. No... it's just not getting it, bad or good.

By the way, I love Al Gore and the EPA... and I thank them for cleaning up my part of southern california. 30 years ago, when my kid was in little league, they had an alarm system on the ball field that went off when the air became too dangerous for the kids to play. Many games were delayed because of that alarm. It was removed 20 years ago, thank you.
