For those of you who have recently added a heavier 4 stroke motor to your sail boat, what type of outboard motor mount did you use? How big was the swing down, who makes it, and do you like it?

Outboard Motor Mount

A solid block of treated wood 4" x 8" X 18" held by U bolts against the stern rail. It was installed as a temporary mount for a trip and worked so well it has been there for around 10 years. It serves a 5HP 4 stroke engine which weighs around 57 lbs.
Brian, ruggedness and functionality have a beauty of their own. When we installed ours since it was supposedly temporary we did not considered looks at all and ended with a flat rectangular mount. Over the years it has grown on us and is now part of the boat. We had to chip away a corner to make it fit our stern rail which has stern seats so we had to position it just next to the swim platform entry and have received quite a few inquiries about the measurements and how is it working for us. Have received many compliments but no one has said it looks ugly, at least not to our face.
I think that is the Panther one, Stainless & good for 4 stroke motors. I just ordered this one, as the Garelick had issues with mounting...
