Outboard motor bracket

I want to install an outboard motor bracket, on the transom of my daysailor. I cannot get a nut on the mounting bolt, as it is hidden in the styrofoam, under the seat. Is there away to install the bracket, from the outside, by use of some sort of toggle bolt?

Bob - I wouldn't do it.That said, yes - there are toggles that you can stick through the hole and use to anchor your engine mount. I'd be afraid every time I used reverse, though.I would want to cut away enough foam to put in a good sized backing plate to ensure that the load is reasonably well spread.I lucked out - my daysailer had the molded engine well when I bought it.Justin - O'day Owners' Web
