I am planning to purchase a Catalina 25. I was a Capedory Typhoon owner and thought I'd move up to a 25 but their cabins are quite small compared to the Catalina 25. I have narrowed my search to two vessels, an '81 and a '82. Both have older 2 stroke engines that need to be replaced. The Yamaha/Honda dealer has said that the original motor bracket needs to be replaced to support the weight and torke of a new 4 stroke. What are your suggestions. I also plan to replace the marine head and will need some advice there. Also is it cheaper to buy replacement cabin cusions from Catalina or have someone local make them up?
