dinghy outboard is 110lbs
dinghy is hoisted to solar arch.
I would like to hoist the outboard to the rail: what size Fiddle Block do you have: 40mm? 50mm?

Thx1

On my PDQ I upgraded to a 6:1 purchase with cam cleats. Much better. I think they were 40 mm with 6mm line, but it's been a while. It came with fiddle blocks, which sucked by comparison.

Maybe if you use a rope block you can have your purchase and even bring the tail back to a winch, but how do you prevent it from slipping .
Cam cleats?
Mads of Sail Life fitted a stainless boat trailer winch to raise his dinghy.
This gave him the purchase to raise it as well as the safety of it not slipping back as it has a built in ratchet.
I think with 110 pounds that would be the best option.
Starts at 7:38.
