Outboard for a Hunter 19

I just became a new owner of a Hunter 19 (1982). Will mostly be sailing on a large lake, but may do some sailing in the intracoastal waterways. I have been looking at long shaft 2 stroke outboard motors in the range of 3.5 to 7.5 hp. Would the 7.5hp be too much for this boat? Other recommendations? Any guidance would be much appreciated!

2 strokes are no longer being sold. A 4 stroke is about twice heavier than a 2 stroke. I would go with 7.5 HP with a build in battery charger and an electric started.
