Mates: I'll be out of town and away from the Forum from 7/12 to 7/16. I'll be attentend the C30 Nationals in Santa Cruz. Two years ago, in San Diego, we came in second overall but this year we are looking for a first. We should have had a first in San Diego but we received conflicting start instructions on one of the races and by the time we figured out what was happening we were 5 minutes late over the line but managed to catch the fleet and come in second in that race. The Nationals are fun to attend so if you get a chance to attend one you should. When I get back, we'll spend some time talking about the four elements of sail trim, which are draft depth, draft position, twist and angle of attack. Those are the only items you are adjusting and if you understand these element you know more about sail trim than 75% of the sailors worldwide!! If you don't believe me just ask your dock mate or a friend to explain them and see the answers you get. See you in a couple of days.
