Decided to share our trip with all of you we recently made to Catalina Island off the coast of California. For those of you who have been there...

Thanks for sharing Rick, we were tied to ball B12 from 7/20 thru 7/24. Always nice there and now 51 in-line for our sublease which I hope is not too much longer.

Thanks for posting. Beautiful video. We were in Avalon 7/29 - 8/1. Absolutely perfect weather and great sailing home with 2 blue whales in the separation zone off Angel's Gate.

Thanks for the memory. We spent many a weekend there and would drop anchor for a week every summer and put our brains in neutral. There was place called the John B which we wandered into one night. It consisted of a bar, a pool table, a dart board, a juke box, the obligitory picture of a naked hula girl and a few tables. The menu was on a chalk board which said STEW. The owner said that was it. Next night was spaghetti, then chile and so on. It was kind of like the menu at the joint in My Cousin Vinny. They made a drink by the pitcher called Vitamin C. Any resemblance to orange juice was purely conincidental and it would sneak up and smack you in the back of the head.:cussing:I realize it's a long haul from SD, but the Channel Islands are great for any that can. We harbor hopped from Santa Barbara, to Santa Cruz Island (need a permit), to Anacapa Island, great tide pools, to Channel Islands harbor, Oxnard to Paradise Cove to Marina Del Rey.

Screw it, I'm packing now and leaving this PM. Gonna do a quick Mission Bay, Glorietta Bay 3 day to get my fix.

PS: Great Vid, but where was the Capt'n and I only saw the Admiral's legs.

Hey Dwain old buddy. Yeah we thought about getting in touch with yus guys to see what your schedule was like. But alas we did not. I did some filming and we decided her legs were way better than mine. As the week went the itenerary (in jello) was per night(s) Mission Bay, Dana Point, 3 nights at Two Harbors with a lunch can in Emerald Bay, Descanso, back to Mission Bay, around to Glorietta (we raised sail in the jetty and did 5 to 7 knots all the way to Coronado bridge. Next moriing a coffee cruise back to the dock.

Missed ya. Going again in October although dont think there will be a Cruisers Weekend this year.

Cruiser's weekend is October 19 and 20 at the Isthmus this year.
