Hiee all,

Well here is a google map link to our new port here in Nova Scotia. Its a tiny yacht club and is composed of pretty much blue collar types and not the yachties with their mega buck boats used to sip martini's on the weekends lol. All and all I think a good location as its reasonably sheltered from the open Atlantic and yet is only about a hours motor to hit the open water. We have a mooring guarantee'd and maybe a slip if we choose that.

Just zoom out to see our gateway to the Atlantic and our sailing grounds :D

Really warm weather forcast for much of next week so maybe I'll get some work done on her. I've been going silly trying to figure out how the water has been getting into the bilge since last fall. I think that it is the shelf in the anchor locker. I think the water is getting in thru the hatch onto the shelf and then leaking down onto the v-berth and running back over the edge and down into the bilge. Anyhow not a big deal that a bit of glass cloth and resin won't fix.

Looks like a great place and a "better" crowd Brina! I'm more the beer in the can and occasional rum drink patron myself.
The inlet looks like a good place to shake out a boat before venturing out into big water.
Congrats!

Very nice! I envy your tenacity and patience in getting your boat prepped for some adventures.

I'm an inland sailor for now but we plan to tow our WWP 15 to the Pamlico sound in NC this summer. If we ever venture up north we will look you up.

Please feel free to do so. I hopefully will be posting here about our sailings up and down the coastline of Nova Scotia this year as we make them.

Hiee Merlin,

Thanx, yeah it seems like a pretty good place to me although I have yet to meet anyone from there lol. My big worry is getting in and out of the inlet as it is power only due to the narrowness of the channel. In fair weather here the seas tend to be 2 to 3 feet inshore ie coastally speaking. The big issue with Nova Scotia is fog banks that can roll in rapidly.
