When we bought our Hunter Cherubini in Nov 2009, the windlass was a hokey worthless manual windlass. We removed it and installed a Lofrans 1000 watt electric windlass. We cut the anchor locker lid in two and fiberglassed the forward section to the deck. We put a divider in the locker for the chain that goes to the 45# CQR, and the aft section holds chain and rope for the FX37 Fortress. We also installed a washdown hose. The pull switch for the hose is in the upper aft corner of the anchor locker. The thruhull and pump for the washdown is in the head sink bottom cabinet.

I sold the manual windlass on Ebay. I didn't mean it was hokey because it was a manual one, it wasn't right for the boat, Because of our age, we wanted electric anyway.

FYI, A Hokie (note spelling) is the made up mascot of Virginia Tech. And yes they do play the Hokie Pokey song at the football games.
