That sounds like a bugger. Mind my asking what you were paying for moorage on a one year contract ? I have an H-310 and this is my cross to bear for the next year:

It seems like a lot but without it, I'd probably be on the streets and up to no good.
WOW! I've copied and sent this to our Club's Bridge members.. While our fees are considerably less and haven't witnessed an increase in YEARS, we still have the usual whiners..

So for my current 36' slip, that would be $11,300 + maintenance, paint, winter storage and hauling, so probably 20,000 for 3 months. That's about $200 per day, but probably 2-3 times that if I subtract days that wont work. Probably >$1000/day for day's I'll use.

I'd need a new hobby. That's not expensive, that's mental. Bike, climb, kayak, fish, and all of the stuff you do in the other 9 months. Get help.

[I'm more like $5 per day slip/paint using the same allowances and math. 365 season, paint every other year.]

I pay about $2200 for a floating dock that I have to paddle out to. It's barely held together and management doesn't seem to care about the conditions nor what I do at those docks. It's essentially the wild west on this side of the marina. A normal slip would be about double. I pay the non-resident fee that @Dalliance mentioned. A normal slip that I could walk to would be about double the price. This is the closest marina to me. The closest suburban one has has a very long wait list. Chicago harbors are the most expensive in the area

And here I was feeling hard-done-by! We pay $2101.40 /yr. For a forty foot slip just 400 yards from home. Life is hard!

Those are insane prices. If I was still a working stiff I’d spend my money on other things. I own a mooring in CT and pay a fraction of those prices for the town permits and mooring maintenance.
