Greetings all
I've heard of a journalist doing research on the Vega and wondered
about the orignal price. Does anyone have any info on this?

Thanks,

Victor

Hi,

I would like to know if there is any particular thing I need to be aware of
if I want to have someone checking the while the boat is on her craddle. The
engine is MD6B. Is there anything special for the combi?

Thank you

Hi Marie,

If you still haven't inspected the engine, I can really recommend that you have it inspected
by a marine diesel mechanic, as opposed to a regular marine surveyor. As our mechanic
put it "how are you going to find anything out unless you put a wrench to it?" I would ask
the mechanic to check the compression and the cooling system especially, any problems
in these areas are going to be big bucks so it's worth the money spent on a thorough
survey. I don't know anything about the combi, some people seem to like it while others
complain. A fair number of Vega owners have repowered with a Beta engine, so if there
are issues with the existing engine you might think about budgeting for a new engine
when you negotiate the final price.

Good luck,
