Does anyoone know the brand of the oriiganl instruments used on the Larger S2's? At one time my 1985 S2 27 had a wind speed and direction indicator on board but it was removed by a prior owner. The cable is still ther and I would like to restore this option on my boat but don't want to have to restring the cable throught the mast.

i have a 1979 model 9.2A and the best i can tell they are original...the brand name is SIGNET...they seem to be ok for now ...thw knot meter is a little iffy and i will only know if its ok prolly in the spring of 2011....hope this helps ....

My '86 S2 27 has Standard Horizon depth & speed logs. They are in 4" holes. the speed log was dead when I bought the boat, but was able to get a newer version on ebay. The dial fit, but the sensor was bigger. So I had to enlarge the through-hull anyway.

My 1976 S2 9.2A came originally with Datamarine Instruments, they are still functional but tiring with age.

My 1979 9.2A has Signet Marine instruments. I recently had the depth sounder fail and sent it back to them. They repaired it and it's back in. They are online.
