Nearly all of the original, poor quality sheets and halyards on our 216 have ruptures at various places in the lines. We are going to replace them soon with better quality cordage from Layline. Just wondering if any other 216ers have had the same problems. If so, might you be interested in some sort of a "Total replacement package," I wouldn't be surprised that we could get at least somewhat of a discount from Layline as they will have all the sizes, lengths, and colors and could do up several packages at once. If interested, email me at: Mr.Ernie@TwinHulls.com and I'll see what we can work out with them.

H216 Cordage AND jib blocks

Mr. Ernie...my cordage seems to be holding up pretty well but, if the price is right, I might consider upgrading. Put me down as tentative. On another subject, have you checked out the web site below. This is a web site by a dealer on setup. I was particularly interested in the jib blocks. I don't like the weight on the jib...but I like the 2:1 purchase (in any kind of breeze at all, I have to luff if I need the bowman to trim the jib)...AND... I was wondering how you attach the working (?) end of the jib sheet. I presume you screw in a pretty healthy eye strap. If so, one could use a quick release shackle, have several eye straps strategically located, and be able to somewhat adjust the jib by choosing an appropriate eye strap. For example, when on a broad reach, one of the eye straps could be mounted near the M-bolts which would open up the slot quite a bit. What do you think?
