I once built a beautiful organizer that fit all the things I was putting in place. As I was building it a friend of mine was looking at what I was doing and said I shouldn't make it too specific as over time things change. I ignored him. Several years later when some of the created spaces wouldn't work for anything I then needed, his comment came back to me.
Flexibility and ease of getting things in and out and having a simple way of organizing seems better over the long run. The soft bags idea above is a really good one! Or perhaps some other way of having an easily adaptable organizational method can be found.
