Ordering a Prop Shaft for Yamaha 25 MkII

I'm wondering if this can be done. The folks at my marina here in Cleveland accidentally bent my prop shaft when hoisting it out on the lift. There are 2 ways to deal with it: 1) make a new shat (which they are trying to do with local machine shops); or 2) order a new one. Has anybody ever done this? It is Memorial Day here and I'm hard down and cannot sail.

If it's me and the yard is paying for it, I order one. They may not be as competent as you would like. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

They are fine with me ordering one. Has anyone tired to order parts from Yamaha in Japan?

Do you happen to know how long the shaft is?

I just ordered a new shaft for my B411 from General Propeller in Bradenton FL. joyg@gpcprop.com. My shaft is metric and I had a devil of a time finding someone that had metric stock
