Oran Generator

[New Gipsy]

Onan Genset 2008, Suddenly stopped working after running for 30 secs. Now not showing any signs of power to the switch.
Any help on that? Can not find the fuse to check it. The boat has no electric diagram for the Genset. Cheers

Sounds like an electrical connection problem, which usually occurs on the negative side. That's one of the new fangled ones with PC boards, so it could be one of those, too. The older ones have a their schematic on the inside of the lid of the control box. Perhaps yours does too?
Many of the smaller Onans use Kubota tractor engines to power them. If you can figure out which model you have, engine (not generator) parts are much cheaper from a tractor place than Cummings/Onan.

Ha! You beat me to it. Ours did the same thing several years ago when I cranked too long and popped the inline fuse. Had a dickens of time finding the silly thing because it was next to the engine block starboard side (no access) and only when I traced my fingers along the wire did it pop out where I could see it.

some onans like the 2800 also have a low oil auto shut off . so check it.
