One of the 4,000 “islands” of the Bay. Saw lots of them on a Windjammer cruise there ‘09. Radar probably would not help much when they are awash. Might have gone hard aground as the tide ran out. I wonder if this sailor was a local guy.
Not to run this thread aground, but how did you like that Windjammer cruise? It is on my bucket list.
It was a 6-night, 7-day cruise aboard the Mary Day. We went as a group of eight friends (four couples). Everything about the boat, its captain, the crew, the meals, and the destinations was very nice. Non-smoking only, first of week of July. Amazingly, there were a couple of very cold days plus rain. Brrr! But, mostly nice. I'd do it again under similar circumstances (friends along).
