I am currently a power boater, but lately have been more interested in sailing. Unfortunately i know nothing about sailing but would love to learn. I was hoping someone would be willing to take a tag along sailing with them sometime and help me make the decision if sailing is what i would enjoy. I live in Kitchener, and would have no problem driving within a few hours. Also if anyone can give me any info on what kind of sail boat would best suit my needs. I want something that can sleep up to 5 or 6, and would be capable of crossing lake huron (about 40 miles) for 3 - 4 day trips at a time. Thanks for anyone's help Paul

I'll bite.

Take a look at the price tag of these Nautor's Swans: http://shop.macgregorowners.com/detail.htm?fno=80&group=803 and they're the cheap boats. Forget MacGregor, O'Day, Tartan, C&C, Benneeau and Hunter and Catalina's that are around if you want to bounce off the rocks for the most bucks! Sorry. I couldn't resist. And I do live near Yonkers but in NY. Someone with a sailboat in Ontario please help this man to get away from the dark side?
