HOW emporium item

Phil -- We have to get these must have items on the HOW emporium. An how about some matching teak pylons for mounting them along the toerails. Think DOD would give us a discount if they were purchased in gross?

I LIKE IT

I get a military surplus catalog that has demilled rockets that are 24"long X 1.5" round. I think I will mount a pair of them on top of the cabin and use them as hand rails.

A Word of Caution

Be careful. Although the sheriff in the article was understanding, AIM-9 missile are subject to Munition Export Control Laws. Taking your boat into Canada or Mexico could subject you to a fine of $100,000 or 10 years in jail (or was it on a PWC?)

Good idea but.........

I've found that the hand held models normally fired from the shoulder using a wire guided system is a better way to go, besides they take up less space.

How about .......

I like the theory, but I suspsect in practice it might have some drawbacks, like scorch marks on the fiberglass, frequent stops by the marine patrol, maintaince expenses. Howvever, thinking about an acquantiance that was recently injured by a drunken idiot on a pwc - he was appearenly trying to intimidate the crew of her boat for telling him not to speed in the 5mph/no wake zone and managed to hit her, and has tried to deny involvment, despite their getting a good description and the registration number on his pwc. I have seen ads for water ballon slingshots, and doesn't seem like it would be overly difficult to fill ballons with a waterproof dye. Any thoughts on hitting moving targets? I bet it would be possible to raise a colorable self-defense claim as to any pwc that came in range. What do you think? Jim Kolstoe, h23 Kara's Boo

ice cubes

Flinging the contents of a large cup of ice cubes as they zoom close by can be quite effective

Moving targets are hard to hit

HOW about Paint ball gun? Your getting seriously close to weapons. HOW about good ol fashion air horns and photos or just cussing and mooning? Greg H23 Faster-

Oops!

Not specifically, but I've had some complaints this past week about flaming and I admit to being a litle over sensitive about it right now. I had no idea you were posting that to anyone you knew; if you read it in that context you'll see what I mean. Contact me offline and I'll explain in greater detil. phil@hunterowners.com

Phil, What exactly is flaming?

Notice; I didn't even mention San Francisco :)

A definition

In the context of this web site, it would be a post that is little or nothing more than a personal attack, with no meaningful content.

Answers

1.) Is there a daily limit on PWC's? Same as carp, depending on your state regulations. 2.) How many can you have in posession? No need to worry, usually vaporizes craft (no evidence either) 3.) Will I need a tag or punch card? Maybe victim will need a tag for toe if reply to #2 above is not fulfilled. 4.) When does the season open? Open season, they are considered predators. Also note that you can retrieve a bounty if there is anything left to prove that have eliminated the opposition. Bounty can amount to monetary or liquid compensation.
