Mine redone the electric panel on my boat  (He took the general idea from the modification articles section in here).
Here the final result:

Here you can see the panel before the complete overhall, the building process (the mock up was very usefull as the main panel is mounted on hinges), and finally the result...
I really like what you have done with the quarterberth! I have been thinking of doing just that, with a curtain for when guest(s) want some privacy. I also found another similar option on a classified ad here (I don't know the boat or the owner). I always just cover the nav table with junk and spend little time at the nav station, so I figure it would be nice to make it a smaller standing-height table with storage area for my tools right next to the major mechanical systems.

Good to see someone really digging into their projects!

And the best thing about it is that you can remove the fuel tank with this configuration. For those who might be concern about the rigidity of the boat, don't worry, the headliner in that area is about 1in appart from the top under skin of the deck.

As far as I have seen, I don't think Hunter was even keen on structural bulkheads. I have seen a few boats where people basically remove everything but the walls for the head and the shower.

Good point on the fuel tank removal. I'll have to use that as a talking point to llegitimize the project to a skeptical significant other. I really would like to clean and seal or replace the fuel tank out of the boat...

Electrical Panel Overhaul

That is a great job. I overhauled my panel too but not to that standard. It is worth knowing that exact replacements are available for the breakers, including the A.C.

The main breaker on the A.C. is triple ganged. One of the gangs is designed to detect if there is more than 65 volts between neutral and ground (that means live and neutral are reversed in the incoming circuit) and trip the breaker. Exact replacements for that part are also available.

Thankyou for your reply Johnb, I didn't get what was the third gangs on top for, I'll fix that real soon.
