One more good reason to always wear a PFD

Seems that the passengers below decks thought he was above decks and the ones above decks thought he was below. No one realized he had fallen in the water.

Of course the folks below deck did not see or hear him go OB but what about the folks on deck? Did he not yell when he hit the water? Maybe he fell and hit his head but still seems kinda suspicious.

Happened during the fireworks display which was going on fairly close to their location. Just speculation but probably a combination of drinking, loud music and the fireworks explosions that maybe no one heard him. We heard the police boat sirens about 20 minutes after the fireworks.

Shit happens and this is a sad story. Should he have been wearing a pfd? If you want to be absolutely safe, put your pfd on before you even walk on a dock. Don't forget your helmet when you drive your car, as people , even with seat belts on, die from head injuries in crashes.
