Well, we're a month out, so I wanted to remind everyone about this trailer sailboat race. If you are in Florida, or will be during the first part of April, you might want to check this out. ******************************** The CFYC invites all sailors to the Clemens Cup Cruiser Challenge to be sailed on Lake Harris the weekend of April 1st and 2nd 2006. Contestants will race across Lake Harris on Saturday, overnight at the Leesburg Yacht Club and race back the following day. After the first day’s race, refreshments and dinner will be supplied and Door prizes awarded. Live entertainment will follow dinner. Sunday will see racing back across Lake Harris to Hickory Point where trophies are presented in each of the classes, and the annual presentation of the Clemens Cup is awarded. Skippers meeting will be held at the Hickory Point Ramp area at 11:00 am on Saturday April 1st 2006, with the race beginning at 12:30 pm. Boats will be handicapped using the Portsmouth system. Boats without Portsmouth numbers will be assigned one at registration. Mark your calendar now and watch the CFYC web site for full details, maps, and schedule of events in the near future.
