We only need 3 boats to have our own start in this regatta in Charlotte Harbor, FL. I only need two more and I'll be in. Call Jeff at 941-735-8363.

  • [FONT=Garamond, serif]Number of Races: Five races, weather permitting[/FONT]
  • [FONT=Garamond, serif]Starting Time: First race start at 11:00 am[/FONT]
  • [FONT=Garamond, serif]Governing Rules: [/FONT][FONT=Garamond, serif]The Racing Rules of Sailing[/FONT]
  • [FONT=Garamond, serif]Entry Fee: $25 per participant – This is a fund[/FONT]
[FONT=Garamond, serif]raising event for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society which receives [/FONT]
[FONT=Garamond, serif]all proceed from the regatta.[/FONT]
  • [FONT=Garamond, serif]Entry Deadline: March 10, 2012; $10 late entry fee thereafter[/FONT]
  • [FONT=Garamond, serif]Rain Day: If races weathered out, races will be rescheduled for Sunday, March 18[/FONT]

[FONT=Garamond, serif]A Skippers Meeting will be held at 9:00 am March 17 at the Isles Yacht Club pool deck. Visiting boats can launch at the Bayfront Center on Retta Esplanade in Punta Gorda. A pool party and awards ceremony will be held at the Isles Yacht Club pool deck following the last race at about 4 pm. [/FONT]

I have here the 18 with spin kit and a 216 and 22 non spin, and I may be able to bring in our 22 full performance package boat from our Key Largo location. Like I said we only need 3 of any of them.

Wish I could get my Highlander gang down there. Especially since I lost my first wife to that terrible disease. I've done a lot of fund raisers for Leukemia, usually a 100 miles on the bike.

This is an effort by Tiki Water Sports @ JM Marine to get a couple more fleets going and raise money for the cause and have a GOOOD time doing it.

If we get some guys together over her we could start a Bylaws and Rues committee for a class association start up.

750 Retta Esplanade, Punta Gorda

Sponsored by: Charlotte Harbor Community Sailing Center Inc.,


Rules: Regatta will be governed by the current Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS), the prescriptive of U.S. Sailing Association, (except as altered by the sailing instructions).


Fees: Regatta fee is $20.00 Donation Early registration discount -$5.00 by May 15th 12:00 PM
For any one-design classes must have 3 boats and be registered by May 15th as a class to be scored as one design. (looking for the Sunfish, Precision 15, Prams, Hobbie 16’s, Flying Scot’s 2.4’s, Sea Pearls, and others for One Design fleets) All others will be done on Portsmouth system.


Sailing Instructions: Standard sailing center rules. Sailing instructions will be available at check-in.


Regatta Site: The Punta Gorda Bayfront Center, Community Sailing Center, 750 West Retta Esplanade in Punta Gorda, Florida No Camping On Site.


Trophies: Trophies recognition made ASP after committee is on shore.
