A few years back I started to have vibration when motoring along; So I started by aligning the engine to the best of my ability; no change.I then change the engine mounts who where quite old and then align the engine again : no change.I then change the cutlass bearing and while I had the shaft remove, I had it check to be sure it was strait; it was not so I got a new one made of stainless instead of brass. This will take care of the problem for sure ; still the same vibration. So this winter I bit the bullet and bought myself a 3 blade feathering/reversing pitch prop ( J-PROP )and I am please to say that after launch and tryng to induce vibration in any possible way, I no longer have a vibration problem. As a bonus, I can now back out of my slip and send the stern where I want it to go and not where IT want to go. Lot's of money but worth every penny( I should say DOLLAR ).Yves s/v OPIUM
