Original Intent
Using the Wyse Thin Client I have a machine that will run the software that I like. It plugs directly into 12v, at a low current demand. Small enough to be permanently mounted just about anywhere.
If you want super whizbang this that and everything else, this may not be the way to go. For me, and my expectations, it should work fine. For me, for now. And I don't have that much invested. Later on that might change.
It occurred to me that someone else might see the post and think... yeah... that might work for me. So here it is. Take it, or leave it.
As we've seen throughout this discussion, there's no one solution that fits everyone. Just as some sail Hunters, others Catalinas, Island Packets, Sabres....
Heck, I'm told there are actually some people out there in the world who even like power boats (involuntary shudder).
Exactly, which was my original intent at the start of this thread.SNIP >>->
Unless you plan you use it as an entertainment center with gaming figuring heavily, you don't need the latest high performance (power hungry) system so could build a very nice computer, couple it to a small LCD tv set (often have VGA inputs on them) so you can use it for entertainment too.
