I got back to Onset on Saturday after a great road trip of visiting and then flying to Virginia for a meeting about the research vessel.
I woke up in the morning realizing that I had enough canned food and other non-perishables to get me to, maybe, North Carolina so it was silly to try and restock the boat with cold and fresh food. This would mean hanging around Sunday so I could return the rental car on Monday (Enterprise closes for the weekend at noon on Saturday). A hasty fueling and I was on my way, 48 miles to anchor in the Harbor of Refuge at Point Judith, 48 nm.
Today, 71 nm to Milford where I will take a day to recoup, change the oil, see friends, and figure out my next move.
I’m too beat to write anything inspiring or interesting. It was mostly just deadhead motoring anyway and I hardly noticed it all go by. I have my mind on other things at the moment.
