My O'Day 272LE has a GUEST 2615M 15 AMP on-board charger that appears to be original equipment. I think it has died. Shore power checks out fine through the AC plugs, but the meter on the charger registers no charge current, and the batteries are apparently not charging. I have looked at several GUEST Marine distributors web sites and I cannot find this model for a replacement. I only see chargers that apparently are designed for fishing trolling motors with no meter. Can anyone recommend a good replacement for this unit?

Pat: Can't recommend a replacement number but I had a West Marine unit made by Xantrex on on O'day 302 I purchased last summer. It had died and wouldn't charge. WM sent me to Xantrex and they stood behind the product with a trade-in kind of deal. Still cost me some cash, but cheaper than a new one. Good people to deal with.

If I'm not mistaken...
...the WM brand of hardwired charger is made by Xantrex. I had one on my 272LE. I don't have the model # handy, but you can see a picture of it on my old website. Buying the WM branded model might save you a few bucks. Cheers, Bob

Something to ponder
Pat, Just a thought, a lot of electronics are internally fused and this normally is the first thing to go. If you can open the charger up you may want to look and see if the internal fuse is good. Dave
