When we purchased our Catalina 25 it had a Merc 9.9 mounted on an OMC bracket. Does anyone know where I can find the proper gas spring for this bracket and how to replace it without removing the 110lb engine from the bracket. The boat is in the water year round and while the tilt allows the lower end to to be raised out of the water, I would like to be able to raise the engine for servicing.
